Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen

I haven't had this much fun on Halloween since I don't know when. The weather was perfect. The kids were fantastic. I guess I loved it so much because Lilly was so fun. She was so excited about going trick-or-treating . She did great, she was right up there with her big cousins saying "trick or treat" and " thank you". She would run from house to house and say "Mama I got candy" with a big smile on her face. "lets go to the next house". Max was a dream. He was so happy to sit in the wagon and just watch. Although he was spoiled by his cousin Hannah who slipped him a sucker. He was perfectly happy the whole time.
Here are some pictures before the night began. The family picture isn't that great but we had a good time.

A new way to carve a pumpkin

This was the best pumpkin carving ever. I bought a Mr Potato Head pumpkin kit and "TAH DAH" we have a super cute pumpkin. Lilly was loving it she liked to hold it's hand. Lilly has also been practicing her trick or treat manners.
Mom: What do you say at the door?
Lilly: TRICK OR TREAT
Mom: Then what do you get?
Lilly: CANDY
MOM: What do you say?
Lilly: Thank You.
Only one more night left. I'm excited for Halloween this year.

Happy Birthday to Me

Well as far as birthdays go I think I had a pretty good one, despite the fact that half my family members were sick again, sill. I know, poor Kevin and Max and I really hope that Lilly has seen the last of it. My sweet friends brought lunch to the park to celebrate. Yum! I got some great phone calls and I escaped with Amber to do a little shopping. Our good friends made this pie for us. Isn't amazing?!! It tasted wonderful too. Well as a little bonus I have posted pictures form some of the birthdays past. Thanks to all that helped this day be great!!!

The lame pumpkin patch

I really wanted to go a pumpkin patch this year, we took chance at went to one up the road. It was pretty lame this is why. We paid $7 for Kevin and I, (good thing the kids were free) to go through this huge maze that none of the kids wanted to walk through. We only went 1/2 way.

The pumpkins were scattered on the ground in the orange grove, nice! The other bummer is I had my camera on the wrong setting, so 1/2 my pictures the lighting is way off. There are too many pictures so I put them on the slide show.

We did end up having a good time because we where in good company. Steph, Jonathan and Tyler were with us. And to redeem the bad pumpkin patch there was a bounce house and sand box that the kids did enjoy.

One last thing, Lilly took this photo of me. Great right! Look how many shots she had to take before she got this one.

Funny Lilly!

About a month ago I bought this dress for Lilly. I was looking for winter friendly dresses because that is all she will wear. I really thought she would like it put a long sleeve shirt and tights and call it good. Well she won't wear it because it doesn't spin. Every day I have begged her to try it on and she won't. Today I asked her if she wanted to wear the new "JUMPER" well it is a jumper right. She said "is it for jumping?" Yes I said. She happily put it on and has been talking about it all day. "Look Mom I'm jumping". So I thought this was note worthy. The things she does cracks me up!

Happy Birthday Kevin

Yep you read it right it's Kevin's birthday. So I bet you are wondering how is this awesome, wickedly good looking good guy going to celebrate today. Well he got a pens and a comb from the kids and bought a new suit the other day. So that is pretty great. The down side is that the kidlits have been sick for the past 3 days and we have opted to have chicken noodle for dinner and no cake until they are felling better. We will probably make it a joint birthday cake as not to have too much cake, believe it or not I do get sick of it. With that said here is our beloved Kevin in his younger years and a layout I did the other night.

Halloween Costumes

Is he not the cutest SUPERMAN you have ever seen? And Snow White, I don't know who is more excited about the costume me or Lilly. We celebrated a tad early, there was a costume contest at the mall. The kids didn't want to participate but they did get a great little goodie bag. Lilly is happy to be a Princess and Max just goes with the flow. Kevin and I loved the great weather tonight and were happy to watch the kids play in their costumes outside. I just love this time of year.

Halloween is taking over

It seems to me that Halloween is become the it holiday. Every year it just gets bigger and bigger with the decorating, costumes and parties. i did find something that is cute that I could make, Count down to Halloween. I think Lilly would enjoy this one. For instructions go here.

Smart Lilly

I know that Lilly is learning everyday,but at times I'm not sure how much. She surprised me the other day. We went to the children's museum the day and they have a really neat toy exhibit now. At one of the centers you can build your own robot. Lilly didn't really love the exhibit but I guess she learned something. She came home and built her own robot complete with galdware lids for feet, bar soap body and a Rubbermaid bowl for the hat. Little smarty.

I loved the pictures I took of Lilly so much the other day. She just loves to spin in this skirt. Can you blame her. Look how fun that is.

One last thing, I was inspired this weekend when Pres Eyring spoke about writing our blessings down. What I got form it, is there needs to be a little more gratitude in my life. I have a blessed life. I will try to do is write down a lest one blessing from the day.
Here is my blessing from today. Lilly let me sing to her before she went to sleep. I absolutely love that time, it makes me sad to think that I won't have that time forever.

Yikes the Hair

Is this not he funniest picture?!!! Oh sweet MAX. This is his after dinner hair. We have to wash through it to get all the food out.

I have been playing Photographer lately these are my newest ones. Lilly loves to spin in this skirt. And last this is our little Max showing off some of his vocabulary. You have to listen carefully.

the big chill

We have air!!!! It is so nice!!! You can't even here it, so when we all sit the living room to chat we don't have to yell. Really it is so awesome.
I know most of my peps that read my little blog run in the same circle. But if you didn't see this little video, it is great for all you moms out there.

Day at the ZOO

We had a fun day at the zoo. Yep it was warm still but I don't think it got past 100. There is a neat little slpash pad that the kidos enjoyed at the end of the day.

TOO Bad for us

We thought we had the air conditioner all fixed to last the last hot months of the AZ long summer, not so. The thing has slowly given up his will to live. And we are now without air. A nice 85 degrees in the house. I hope the kids can sleep. The earliest they could come to install a new one is Wednesday morning. So one more day and night without a/c. On the bright side, we will be getting a 5 ton unit, so it will cool the house much better, we only had a 4 before. The air man said that we could get the house down to 66 no problem in the summer. (So mom you can stay longer now.)
