A hiking we will go and other stuff

I wanted to share one last birthday picture. I love that face!! I mean who doesn't love to blow out candles. I think all and all she had a great birthday.

This what Max and Lilly have gotten for their birthdays this year. I might add that this is from all the grandmas and grandpas that sent some birthday money this year as well. THANK YOU!!!They love the club house. It sat on the back porch for a few days in a box un-assembled. Then Max decide that he was going to get sick one morning. (again sorry Amber). So I came home to be with my sick boy. Max seemed to be feeling ok. I thought this a perfect time to put the club house together. The instructions said it would take 2 people to assemble, I did all myself. With the exception of Kevin helping with the roof. It took all day. The kids and I had fun putting it together and they got really good at putting washers on the screws.

Before the weather is unbearable here. I wanted to go on a hike. I miss hiking, I love being outside and I love to walk. I wasn't too sure how the kids would do but I figured that they would be able to do a 2 mile hike. They are young and have energy. When I was telling Lilly about the hike she asked if it was long. I was honest and said that it would be long. She turned to me and said "you better bring the stroller" The red flag went up. Well no child of mine is going to miss out on the joys of hiking. So we went, and we made it to the top to see the petroglyphs. Max walked half the time and Lilly walked it most the way. I'm so proud of my family. I'm proud of my Lilly for being persistent, Max for being of good cheer and trying his best and Kevin for carrying Max half the way. I look forward to the next hike and think the family does too.

PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It finally came Lilly's 5th birthday party,.I have been planning it for a year but now that it has come and gone I still can't believe that my baby will be 5.

The party was a hit thanks to Lilly's wonderful fun friends, they are a delight. I can't forget to thank Shannyn for all the help that she was. She thought she was bringing Jack to the party but I roped her in and she helped a ton.
It was a pure joy to throw this party (Kevin may disagree since I due tend to stress out a little) Lilly was so exited about everything, from the balloons to the streamers to pink cupcakes and punch.

Kevin was so fun at the party being the waiter. The had all the kids having a good time as he called them Miss and Sir and asking the kids about the cheese selection.

presentsI love this photo of Lilly. Her face exudes happiness.

Just when we thought we had enough party. We got lucky and got invited to dinner with John and Shannyn, Steph and Bro Everett. We went to Bucca and Lilly got sung to by the whole restaurant. I thought she would get embarrassed, but no, she handled all the attention like a pro. I think her expression was similar to the photo above. I guess she might get the loving attention thing from me, just maybe.

HApPY Easter

We will start from today. Our Easter bunny came while we were at church this year. It worked out well if I do say so myself.

Friday was oh so Good both Kevin and I had a half day to that made things wonderful to get ready for our busy weekend. We finally found Lilly dress shoes that go with her Easter dress. That only took 4 stores. Earlier in the week the kids and I got party supplies for Lilly's Bday party next weekend. Amber is always my life saver and always dose what I can't do for myself. She found tea cups at Goodwill, for the party. Aunt Shannyn has also helped with the cause and is also letting us use her beautiful tea set. Everything is planed, I just have to make cup cakes, decorate, make 2 dozen tissue flowers and oh I almost for got to buy a present.
Saturday, I had my official assignment as Stake Primary Music leader. I was at a baptism of 11 children in our stake. I will never tire of seeing excited 8 years old with their fathers all dressed in white. I feel the spirit every time.
Lilly got to go to a birthday party for her friend. Man do they know how to party!! The theme was Willy Wonka. Lindsey had everything decked out from giant gum balls, life size Umpa Lupas, a chocolate fountain and candy. Lilly had a great time, even though he played shy the whole time.
Then it was off to the D Backs game VS the Dodgers, thanks to your home teacher that gave us the great seats right next to the Dodger bull pen. I love going to the games, there are enough Dodger fans that live here or drive over for the games that I don't feel like I will be thrown out for cheering for the visiting team.

Here I sit another tainted Sunday night because of work tomorrow. At least I can look back and say that I had a great, fun filled weekend.
