Thanksgiving

Tuesday before thanksgiving I held our short and sweet preschool program. The kids all had a part about the thanksgiving story. Luke's part was the "Indians helped the pilgrims hunt turkey". Then each kid shared a drawing of what they were thankful for. Luke said he was grateful for his video games and cars. The kids made refreshments for the parents. Every child brought a fruit, we tossed it all together to make a friendship salad. And for fun we made apple turkeys.   Thursday morning started out early, 5 AM to be exact. We got everything ready for the 3rd annual Sossaman Turkey Trot.

It was lots of fun to put together probably because we had such a great committee that made things happen.  I hit my goals but I was a little upset that Kevin started the race as I was watching Max and Lilly finish the mile run. I had to play catch up and never did. On top of that my running app didn't start either so I really have no idea how well I did.
The whole week was busy with family and eating. These are both things that I love. All the family was all together on both sides this week. One family picture was planed.

The other was not but it was great to be together.

November 12

1. Lilly woke up with her eye red this morning. I pretty sure it is not pink eye. So I sent her on her way to school. No one called me so I think something must just be irritating it.
2.  Turning on the sprinklers.  Love the blue sky and the sun.
3.  Getting my scripture time in.
4.  Preschool kids. Snapped this as I just finished with a story.
5 & 6  We have turkey projects galore. I love them.
7.  So funny when I come out of Costco with only 1 thing and only spending $2.99.
8.  Dinner prep.  Big big salad tonight.
9.  Practice. I love to hear her play even with the squeaks.
10.  Luke reenacting the book Knuffle Bunny. He loves that book. We have read it 20 times today I'm sure of it.
11. Getting the sugar bugs off of the teeth.
12. Love these jammies and love that I can rest in a comfy clean bed after a long day of happy work.

Halloween Night

Just one more post about crazy Halloween.  Our night went as planed.  Mummy dogs for dinner costumes, pictures and then trick-or-treating.

My kids aren't very big trick-or-treaters so we did one big loop and called it good. They really prefer to pass out candy.  Our street and neighborhood was a party, Our neighbors went all out and made a Sleepy Hallow haunted house. I took the kids through but they were nice and didn't scare us. But on the street behind us there was another haunted house. We all went in that one, the boys went first. Lilly and I were behind them, but as soon as Lilly heard the chainsaw she ran back out toward the entrance.  It was creepy. We all survived and no bad dreams.
Another Halloween has passed I feel like these days will last forever but I see how much my kidos have grown and realize I there are just a few more left. I love my owl, Batman and Robin

Right before bed they had to count their loot.
