Bike Riding

We loved the rain but we are happy to get some sunshine this weekend. Thanks to a very patience daddy. Both kids became super bike riders this weekend. They have been tiring for weeks and just really didn't get the hang of it. Look at how proud they are.

Just a few simple things

Weekend recap. We enjoyed the nice weather this weekend with some hiking and outside play. The kids got new/old soccer shoes from their aunt and wanted to put them on right away. They both thought they were pretty cool. The only bummer is I didn't plan to put them in soccer until the fall. We we have to have lots of family soccer games while the weather is good.

On Saturday we finally made it up to the wind caves for a hike. We have tired 2 other times but were unsuccessful. This time we made it. Both the kids made it all the way up. Lilly hiked the whole time and Max was carried down about half way. I love to hike. I'm so glad that we were able to enjoy it as a family.

Kevin and I got to go to a movie this weekend, such a treat. When we were dating and first married we went to the movies every week sometimes twice. We like are movies. Oh, but how things have changed. Here is a silly little picture of us before our night out. He is still a fun date.

Other weekend activities included, a great family dinner with friends, a tea party, fixing the kids bikes, a cookie party, a family slumber party, out for dinner and the boring house work stuff. We packed a lot in this weekend but we enjoyed spending time together most of all.

I'm not a great cook but I do cook. Last night I tried this recipe and I was surprised how much my family and I liked it. Thumbs up from us. Try it tell me what you think.

The best night ever.

Let me start out by saying I feel so blessed that I have been feeling great almost all day. I am able to get my darlings ready for the day, teach school and get most of the house stuff done feeling pretty normal, then 5 o'clock hits and that is my wall. All food sounds gross my stomach starts to flip, nothing major just the constant nausea. It puts a damper on the evening when I use that time to prepare for school and get stuff done without the help of my children.

Last night I had run some errands and ended up a Target and I started to crave ice cream. So I a had a peek and the Ben and Jerry's was calling my name. I buy it, come home sit on the couch and eat several spoonfuls. It's was bliss!!! My tummy was happy, my headache was gone and the best part is I had the best night sleep in weeks. I woke up this morning feeling like my body got a rest and was ready for a great day.

This is what I am wondering today, was it a fluke? or is eating Ben and Jerry's and 8 pm the cure to my prego body? I guess I will have to test out my theory again tonight. If any of you are in the neighborhood you are welcome to stop by just bring your own pint I never know how much I will eat.

Something New for 2010

Lilly announced to her primary teacher last Sunday the her Mommy went to the dentist and he took a picture of Mom's tummy. Well, I didn't go to the dentist but I did get a picture taken of my belly and this is what she found.


2010 will bring us a new baby in July. Happy New Year everyone!!!
