Happy New Year

That's right happy Chinese New Year . SO for the occasion we made egg rolls. I remember making wan tons with my mom. I loved to help her wet the wrapper and seal them up. I wanted my kids to make them too. They did great. Here are my little helpers and the yummy egg rolls.

One little story. Lilly is really into blowing kisses right now. Every time I turn around "MOM did you feel my kiss?" "MOM, here's another one to put in your pocket for latter." "Mom I'm just going to blow a kiss to the people on TV". I think you get it, she likes to blow kisses. She has even used them as a power. The kiss turns into the kiss of death to knock people down. Oh how I love my kisses and my Lilly Lou.

Family fun

Thank you Dr King!!! I don't mean to take Dr. King's life or his movement lightly. I'm am so grateful to live in this country were we have civil rights. It is just and added perk that I got a 3 day weekend!!!
Here are a few shoots from our weekend.
The kids before church. Max had his hair combed so handsome.

After church is just as fun. Getting back in to jammies. Love the high waist on this one. I don't give Kevin enough credit. He is the funnest Dad. I went out to the store this afternoon and I came home to a DANCE. Complete with formal ware and refreshments with punch bowl. Kevin just thought it would be fun to have a dance with the kids. Lilly was delighted to say the least. How could she not be excited she has such a handsome date. Max loved serving the punch (water) and cookies.

I can't believe how fast they grow up. Lately Lilly has been my number one helper and she usually does it with smile. Here she is pealing the cucumber for our dinner salad. I'm so proud of what wonderful little lady she is becoming.

Sunday afternoon is back

It is Sunday afternoon and I find myself with some free time. We started this morning with church at 8 am. It's early, but we are all up by then most mornings anyway. The kids are so confused, they thought it was time for dinner when we got home from church at 11 am. The weather hasn't helped, it is so gloomy outside. We got back in our PJs for the afternoon and have been relaxing the day away.
The kids did manage to get a few jumps on the trampoline, never mind that is was raining, the rain made jumping that much better.
On Saturday nothing major happen just a quite weekend. We were so happy to watch movies in our new DVD player. Thank you again Dad and Candy, we love it. Lilly did have 2 parties to go to, one for primary and one princess party. She told me "mom this is such a special day". I had to agree. The kids were happy to play with all their Christmas goods.
Papa this one is for you, here is Max eating a mushy apple. Last night when I put Max to bed he said that he wanted to say good night to Nana and Papa. I told Max that they were back home. His reply was "oh that's so sad."
Tomorrow it's back to real life, with work school and all that fun stuff.

Happy New Year!!

A new year, yippee and back to work. Today was my first day back after a wonderful vacation that went buy way too fast. We had such a great time with all of our family that came into town. We were absolutely spoiled by them this Christmas. So a big thanks again to Mom Stacy, Dad and Candy and Nana and Papa.
We had a great park day and lots of playing outside.

Amber hosted a wonderful eating fest on New Years day. Thanks so much. The boys did what they wanted to do, watch football and the girls went shopping. I spent my gift card money, I love to shop with gift cards no guilt for spending money.
Here are some shots from New Years day.

Lilly and Max both love their presents from grandma Candy and Grandpa. I didn't take any pictures but my mom said that Max played with his soccer goal for hours and Lilly hasn't stoped playing with her Barbie house.
