Do You Feel Busy?

The past few days I feel like I just do enough to stay one step of everything. I don't think I do more then any other mom that works and has kids, it is just amazing how busy life gets with soccer, homework, helping in the classroom, and teaching preschool. Then I have to do all the regular house stuff, clean, cook and keep kids and hubby happy. The other day I calculated how many hours a day I spend nursing. It is 3 1/2 hours of my day dedicated to my little guy. I'm not complaining I'm just saying. I sit and I see all that is not getting done. I wouldn't do if I didn't believe that it was the best thing of him, and I do get my scripture reading done at that time.

Well today I tried to catch up on house stuff. All the bathrooms got cleaned, the kitchen got a scrub, the laundry got folded, most places got dusted, Halloween decorations came out, and floors swept. I feel better but I still have a list of things that I have to do. There will always be a list of things to do, and yet I feel it important to take some time to write it all down.
Wednesday the morning weather news guy came to Lilly's school in a helicopter. So we all had to see that. Here is the link to the broadcast. You can't really see Lilly but it was fun to watch.
Here is the helicopter landing on the school yard.

Getting ready for school this morning we found this in our raspberries.

It's a bee. It was dead.
And my happy baby let me take some pictures of him. He is 3 months old today. Oh I just love him. The sweet boy will smile when you talk to him but still can't get out a giggle. He loves to get his hands in his mouth and has learned to entertain himself buy kicking his toys in his chair.

I'm a Soccer MOM

First I want to bring you a chunk of cuteness.

Now on with the soccer. Max and Lilly had their first soccer game this weekend. We were lucky this weekend b/c the games were at 8 and 8:30 and their fields were right next to each other. Sadly even at 8:30 we were melting in the AZ sun. Even in the heat the kids did great.
Max's game was first. His team started off strong and took the ball down to the goal. We aren't supposed to keep score but I'm sure that our team out scored the other team by allot. Max scored a goal. Here is a picture after his goal. He couldn't get the smile off his face.

This picture is a action shot of how he hustles even though he is the smallest on the team. He loves to be in the game. He was getting tired at the end of the game and started to slow down. I blame it on the heat.

Lilly's team is different. She is so excited to be on the team with her friends and that their team name is the BLUE BUTTERFLIES. Again we don't keep score but I know that the pink team scored allot and we didn't get one. I'm so very proud of my Lilly she played in the hot sun and tried to get in there and get the ball, most of the time. Here is a great shot of her in the middle of the game. I think it was taken when the girls were getting back in the middle of the field after the pink team scored a goal. She looks to the sideline and sees that I'm taking a picture so she stops and smiles for me. Thanks Lilly.

I think one thing that takes Lilly by surprise is all the bumping that goes on. Instead of looking for the ball she gets distracted by the girl that bumped her. This photo sums it up. Do you see the ball and the direction that the players are going? Now were is Lilly? Yes, she is facing the other direction.

She did say that it was fun, but didn't like that the pink team scored so much. I told her that they probably played before and now we know what we have to practice. She is still excited for practice and for her game on Saturday so no harm done.

The Boys

The weather was nice last week, it actually dipped below the 100's so that means that we are getting close to bike ridding time. We needed to buy bike helmets for the kids so they could start rinding their bike to school. Max loved his so much that he wore his all afternoon.

Look at my baby, yep so adorable and such a good baby. He is smiling more and more lucky me.

Home Again Mega post

We had a wonderful extended weekend. Here is the recap. Saturday morning we spent some time with Grandma Lola. She got to meet Luke. These kids are lucky to have a great grandma.

After our visit it was off to the beach. I love the beach!!! Kevin enjoyed some body surfing and the kids chased the waves and made sand castles.

I enjoyed the breeze and the smell of the ocean air. It was Luke's first visit to CA and to the beach. From the look on his face I would say the he loves the beach too.

It wouldn't be a true CA visit if we didn't experience some natural disaster. Here is the hillside fire that we drove past on the way home.

Sunday was church day and my brothers and I got a shout out from the pulpit. That was a little weird, but nice. And then we had a Florez family photo session. I love my handsome brothers.

And here is the Florez Fam. I decide on this trip that it would be worth my money to invest in a tripod. For this picture we had the camera resting on a stool on top of a bench.

Of course you have to have a funny photo.

The next day was my father inlaws birthday. I'm always up for a party. Breakfast, bowling, and Travel town. And finishing out the night with cake and ice cream YUM!! I scored the lowest in both games. Yes even my kids beat me.

I have to metion that our little Luke was the best baby ever he was great in the car and so happy the whole time. Do I dare say that I have a good baby? So there you have it a great fun filled weekend. Now back to real life.
