Snow Day

Oh the snow!!! I can honestly say that I still have no fond feelings for the snow. The time I put in for my college days were enough for me. Since I am the oven for a little one I didn't think it wise to partake in one of the only redeeming purposes of snow, sledding. I did how ever enjoy watching my family play in it while I took the role as family historian. I took over 200 pictures so I promise not share all of them here.
Even grandpa got in on the fun. Uncle Pablo getting Max ready for a ride.
Lilly enjoying her ride.Kevin taking his turn.
Max is getting ready to throw his snowball. Here we are, all of us at the amazing cabin.

Max and Hannah hanging out.

A snowman and a snow angel.

This was the first time that most of the kids had seen the snow actually falling or will really remember playing in the snow it made the time we spent a little magical. No, I don't love the snow but it was nice to visit.

The results are in!!

Yesterday we made a family outing to my doctors appointment. The kids are so excited about this baby I wanted to bring them along so we would all find out together. They were very well behaved, and excited to find that we will be having a BOY. We would have been happy with a boy or girl and the kids are happy just the same. They keep asking when the baby is going to get here, I think all of us think that it is taking forever. For now the baby will be called BOY BOY. Max named the baby Boy Boy when we first told him that he would be a big brother. I think the name is great because Kevin and I don't have a clue for a name. We are open for suggestions.

So now that I know that Boy Boy is coming. It's time to go shopping. I'm thinking he will really need one of these. Who am I kidding. I saved most of Max's clothes, so we have a great start.

Thank you Mr President

I had busy week, everything from preschool, valentine parties, Valentine's day, ward conference practicing and performing for a little night on Broadway show I took part in. When Monday came we didn't do much, we just took it easy, and it was so nice. We played in the back yard enjoying the beautiful weather. Max picked me a flower.
Lilly and Max played games on the tramp.
I tried to get some sun.
And Kevin took a nap.
The makings of a perfect weekend.

Preschool is still FUN!!!

Preschool has been so fun this last month and we studied community helpers. I asked a few of my neighbors to help out. We were so lucky that they said yes and made this month a highlight of preschool this year. We started out with a visit from officer Nielson. The kids thought he was pretty cool and so was his police car.Next was a visit to the fire station. Fire trucks are just cool. The kids were able to try out a real fire hose. VERY exciting!!!Here the fire fighter is showing off how fast he can put on his gear. I guess I should mention during all this excitement and fun, there were great opportunities to talk about safety and learning phone numbers and addresses.
And lastly our focus letter of the week is S. So I had snakes come to the class. I must say it was a very exciting morning. Here we have our snake friend Bella curled up on the chair. She liked her visit so much that she didn't want to let go.

On a spiritual note

There are a few things I have wanted to write down and I don't feel like I can give an update on current events until I do.
A few weeks back I was part of an amazing baptism for my friend Jackie. I was thrilled beyond belief to know that she had finally had a change of heart that had given her the answer that she needed to be baptized. I have always seen her as an amazing person. The kind of person I wanted to be like when I grow up. As an added bonus her and her husband were Lilly's primary teachers when she was a sunbeam. Lilly loves them, and has a special connection to them, I also know that Lilly loves to listen to her beautiful English accent. Jackie asked me to sing on her special day. Of course I would, it was an honor. I have to admit that I got nervous just because I wanted it to be perfect. I hope no one could tell. I was so blessed that day, I felt the Spirit, I was so happy for my friend and delighted to be there.

Second this past weekend we went to California to be with Kevin's cousin as she went to the temple for the first time. It was a wonderful day and worth the 6 hour drive. We love you Tracy, you have always been so good to us, from helping Kevin with his ABC's to giving us awesome spring training tickets. You are always fun to be around and good for a laugh.

Now you would think that I would have great pictures for these wonderful events b/c now I'm a semi pro photographer with my new camera and all. But sadly no. I'm still not used to carrying the thing around. I guess I have to get over that and quick.
