There is good a bad about going to Disney land on a rainy day. Good because you walk on all the rides, really no waiting. The line we waited the longest in was to meet the princesses. The bad we got wet. Really wet. Luckily I packed kids extra socks and shoes. I wish I had done the same for all of us. We were all smiles before the rain. Max said he loved the rockets best of all. Lilly said it was the rockets and meeting Belle was her favorite.
During the rain, we are still smiling. The kids never once complained or had a serious melt down. The kids thought the rain was a great addition to the fun. Not to mention the great fashionable raincoats that we bought for 8 bucks apiece.

Lilly's magical moment, meting Belle. I love the expression on her face. She was so excited nervous and just amazed.
There were a few tears on our trip, well after. Lilly chose this doll as her souvenir from Grandma Candy and Grandpa. Oh how she loves this doll. Right after the fireworks show, both of the little ones fell fast asleep. Lilly was still holding her doll in the stroller as we rushed down main street to get to the car so we could thaw out from the wet cold. When we got to the car the doll was gone. My heart broke, Kevin's heart broke, Grandma Candy's heart broke. Lilly had fallen back asleep in the car that she only cried for a minute and the was out again. So what is a mother to do. I looked online as soon as I got back to my parents house. They don't sell the doll online!!! My in laws found it on Ebay and though about buying it but since they are season pass holders they were going to make a special trip just to get another one. I wanted to try one more thing to see if I could save them a trip. I knew that a friend of a friend that was going to be at Disney this weekend. So I made a phone call. They said that they would be happy to bring back a doll and they would be here in AZ in a few days. Oh I'm so grateful!
The day after was Valentines day!! YEAH can you see how exhausted I look here with my Valentine.
My mom was so great to make cookies with the kids. Here they are tasting the the dough, they call this helping. Even Uncle Matt got in on the fun.
We were able to visit Grandma Lola. I was so happy to get a picture with her for the kids. It's so important to know your family. As a side note Max is holding his souvenir from Disneyland, a basket ball. He has slept with it every night.

Friday for ME!!
I will have photos aplenty upon my return but for today I am sharing a blast from the past.
Every day I feel time whizzing past, robbing me of my babies. I register Lilly for kindergarten tomorrow. I'm thrilled that she will be in the grade I loved to teach, but I can't believe that it is here. My kindergartners were all grown up, so responsible and independent. I have to face she is too.

SUPER WEEKEND

Mom does this house look familiar? It reminded me of one we had when I was little. Lilly and Max thought is was the coolest thing ever.
For the last note of the day. Lilly started bringing home homework from Pre-school. It has begun. I think I'm going to loose it. It reminded me of all the arguments I had with my mom at the kitchen table. Lilly and I have already argued about how to hold the pencil. It's too early for this!!

Happy New Year
One little story. Lilly is really into blowing kisses right now. Every time I turn around "MOM did you feel my kiss?" "MOM, here's another one to put in your pocket for latter." "Mom I'm just going to blow a kiss to the people on TV". I think you get it, she likes to blow kisses. She has even used them as a power. The kiss turns into the kiss of death to knock people down. Oh how I love my kisses and my Lilly Lou.

Family fun
Here are a few shoots from our weekend.
The kids before church. Max had his hair combed so handsome.

After church is just as fun. Getting back in to jammies. Love the high waist on this one.
I don't give Kevin enough credit. He is the funnest Dad. I went out to the store this afternoon and I came home to a DANCE. Complete with formal ware and refreshments with punch bowl. Kevin just thought it would be fun to have a dance with the kids. Lilly was delighted to say the least. How could she not be excited she has such a handsome date. Max loved serving the punch (water) and cookies.

I can't believe how fast they grow up. Lately Lilly has been my number one helper and she usually does it with smile. Here she is pealing the cucumber for our dinner salad. I'm so proud of what wonderful little lady she is becoming.
