super late 4th

Just catching up we had a fun 4th filled with swimming.

Splash park

One great thing about going back to work is I live for the weekend, even when we don't have plans we end up having a good time. We went up to see my John, Shannyn and Jack. They showed us a great time at their water park. The kids loved it, Lilly started to swim better and the big kids got to go down the water slide. When was the last time I did that?

I hope no one is offended by this picture but I was really impressed that John can take a picture with all 4 of us in on the first shot. Thanks for the fun time. I can't wait till next time.

Father's Day

Another too fast weekend. We made the most of it. Friday Kevin and the kids met me up by my work where there is a splash park. I would have pics but Kevin doesn't see the camera as a necessity to a family event the way I do.
Saturday we met up again with the cousins at the beach while they swam in the swim meet.

We were busy at church today, I sang for the special musical number and Primary sang the closing song. It was Kevin's first "I'm so glad when Daddy comes Home" tribute. I didn't get to see Lilly because she was up front and I was behind the sea of primary children. I hope that Kevin got a good look, but I know he was messing with Max because he didn't get to go up on the stand.
One last event of note. We said BYE BYE to Binki today. Max through it away himself. He is pretty mad that he did that. He cried for just a few minutes when we went down for his nap and bed time. I'm so proud of the guy. I guess it is official I no longer have babies in the house, both of them are growing up so fast. Please someone stop time for just awhile.

Saturday FUNday

I felt like a pretty fun mom this Saturday. I knew Kevin would be out of the picture with work in the morning and a dentist appointment in the afternoon. So I planed ahead. I made sure I went to the market Friday night, so we could just play. We went to the beach in the morning because the cousins were having a swim meet. We came home for lunch and made heart sandwiches. Max went down for a nap and Lilly and I played games and puzzles while Max slept. John, Shannyn and Jack came over for dinner. Yummy homemade Cafe Rio sweetpork salad. For bedtime stories I surprised the kids and set up out little tent and let them have flash lights. Here are photos from our beach time.
