Pre Halloween show

To get into the Halloween spirit we went on a little date to a no children Halloween party. I must say it was fun to be out. At the party we had a lovely dinner with soup and yummy bread. And for entertainment it was karaoke night!!! With a little persuasion everyone was a good sport and did and least one number.
There were some great costumes there. The two that top my list were Jim and Pam from the Office and the couple that came as the Wal Mart customers. Both were very fun and very creative. The photos below is the revile of our 2009 costumes

And oh yes someone remind me next time to look for a better background when I take pictures. It looks like I have crazy hair coming out of my head.

Lucky ME I'm 33

If any of you were wondering, I had a MARVELOUS birthday!! Kevin was a sweetheart and went into work later so he could make me breakfast and get the kids ready for the day. He also bought me a cd that I have been wanting. I'm so tricky that I planned our preschool pumpkin patch tip today to assure maxim fun. I'm very happy to report that fun was achieved. I've said it before and I will say it again I love my job! Here we are sitting for a little photo opp before going into the farm.
I was so upset b/c when we got to the farm, I realized that I had left my memory card in the computer. Oh so sad!!! However my camera has a little internal memory so I was able to get 3 shots. I'm hoping to get other photos form all my great parents that were able to come.
For dinner I had hoped to go out for Chinese food, but after the long dirty day at the farm I opted for take-out . Which is a great b/c I love to eat from the box!!
Here is Max trying to use chopsticks. The little man did pretty well.
After dinner we participated in our favorite family activity playing on the trampoline.
And for the finale, My huge CHOCOLATE COSTCO cake!!! Please stop by for a piece!!! There is plenty.

Happy Birthday Kevin

He made it to 30!!!
He said he had a good day. How could it not be great with church, a nap, some presents, football, crepes and yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Kevin is not one for photos so this is all I got.

In this one I'm saying "turn off the fan so the candles don't blow out".

We love you Kevin we are so glad to have you on our lives!! The kids and I made Kevin a little montage of the past 6-5 years leading up to 30. I couldn't get it to up load to the blog but you can check it out here.

Family Camping

This weekend we were able to go on a little camping trip. We loved it, we had a good time and we didn't freeze well almost. Every time I camp, I think how did the pioneers do it? I could only handle 2 nights with twice as much luxury as they had. After every trip I come back with a greater appreciation for my pioneer ancestors. A greater appreciation for a comfortable home and hot running water. And a great appreciation for family and the moments and the memories that we share.

October, let it begin.

Another week has just flown buy, another month as well. Hooray its October!!!!! Most you are rolling your eyes because you know what that means. Yes, it's my birthday month. However this year I have decided to go a little low key since Kevin is turning the big 30. So I will make his birthday special and then I will have my birthday week. I think that's fair. This post sounds just like Seriously so Blessed. oh brother
Another reason for October's greatness is General Conference. All I can say is Amen and Amen!!! I love our dear Prophet and the other general authorities. Most of all I am so grateful for the Spirit that testifies of the truth. I'm grateful that I can repent and try better every day. I'm grateful that I know that I am a daughter of God.
As much as I enjoy the spiritual pick-me up I do enjoy the fun side too. While the men in our ward go to their meeting the sisters get together at the park for a pot luck and play time with the kids. Yes, I'm a very lucky girl to be apart of my ward and call these amazing women my friends.
Lilly got her school picture this week. It's just what I expected. I don't know why I feel like the funny school picture is an important part of the school experience but, it is.
This week in preschool we blew bubbles. The kids had a blast!!! It was wonderful to see their little experiments going on. They tested the speed of how they blew, how tall they could blow the bubbles before the would spill out. They tested to see how fast the bubbles would pop or if they could blow them around the room. They tested how fast they could pop them. The reason kids like to blow bubbles in milk is because it is so fascinating all I had to do was use a little water, a little dish soap, their own straw and a towel in case they spill. All together it makes a great activity.
