Christmas Eve and Adam

My mom and pop are in town and that means PARTY! The whole Florez family was together this year. Sadly that is a rare thing.  It was so nice to be together.  Friday we went to party and Organ Stop Pizza and the temple lights.
Oh cute couple
All the Florez Fam. Matt why didn't you look?

For Christmas Eve we went up to John and Shannyn's house to enjoy a lovely dinner and delightful evening.

A Wedding

First off congrats so this happy couple. Meagan and Jesse. Thanks for having us be apart of your day.

As family things go we had lots of fun. Eventful and fun.  We had a little car fiasco at the temple. Our car alarm wouldn't turn off, even when we turned the engine on.  After what felt like an hour we were able to get the battery disconnected so it would stop and after a few more tries we were able to get the right fuses out to stop the HORN, and the Hazard lights. While all this is going on we missed Meagan and Jesse coming out of the temple and missed the big group picture. Not they will miss us anyway, but sad we missed it.   Back to the car, we now have discovered that the hazard lights and the turn signals are on the same fuse. So if you see me driving around town not using my blinkers you know why.  Car issues always fun.
I would like to take a sec to say that I'm super bummed that I am not an amazing photographer.  Well it gives me something to work on.   Low light and lots of dancing is not a good combo.  And I was so stubborn about using the flash so now I'm just sad that all my pics are blurry.  Here is what I have of their beautiful reception.

Always funny always handsome, my Kevin. Oh how I love him and his sister.

The kids looked so sharp. The dark colors with the pop of blue looked wonderful.  Lilly was so excited for the reception because Uncle Matt had asked her to dance that morning.  He made good on his promise and she was so happy.

Prof that I was there.
Max and Hannah always having fun together.

The big hit of the night was the punch.  The kids had 3 or 4 glasses each and licked every drop.
On our way home were were able to see a magnificent rainbow.  I'm not sure if I have ever seen anything like it.  We were able to see the complete rainbow from beginning to end over the desert.  The colors were the most vivid I had ever seen.  I had one of the those moments were I felt so blessed to be witnessing something so beautiful.  Again amature photographer doesn't do it justice.

12 of 12 December

In all the things that I do I still make time to carry my camera one day tell a little story about that day. I enjoy it, it helps me look at the little things that make my life so rich.  Here is today.

1.  Waking Lilly up for school. not too happy about it.
2.  It was recycle day and it was rainy all day.
3.  Monday is shopping day. We have food in the house again.
4.  It was so quite today, Luke took a 2 hour nap in the morning so I just sat and enjoyed the Christmas tree.
5.  13 more days till Christmas I think?
6.  This burn in such a pain it is not healing well and with it on my hand it in water often.
7.  Funny Luke for his lunch party. Every meal should make you this happy.
8.  A dentist visit today. No bueno, I have to get a crown.
9.  The kids watching the Santa video to Lilly.  She we thrilled to find out that she is on the nice list.
10. Max discovers that the zipper on my vest says Max.
11. Reading the Christmas Orange.
12. The kids playing on my bed before they are sent to bed.

A simple, perfect day.

We are still here.

Life gets so busy this time of year.  I have so many things I want to do but just don't have time to get to them.  So I have to choose what I would like to do most and be grateful for it.  We got a real Christmas tree on Tuesday but didn't get around to decorating it until Friday.

We planed a small play date this week. The kids wanted to host a ginger bread house making party.  Lilly designed the invitations. She was so proud.  I 'm sad that I deleted the file. You will have to take my word for it that they were cute. They all had a good time and ate too much candy. (Mandy, we are still planing on having you over for candy houses. The kids wanted to do it twice)

I found a really cool site yesterday http://www.portablenorthpole.tv/home.  You can make a message from Santa to your child that is pretty believable in my opinion.  I made one for Max saying that he was on the naughty list. He bought it and now is trying really hard to get on the nice list again. Let's hope this improves his behavior.  Lilly keeps asking me if she got an email form Santa yet.  I will have to make her one tonight.  Although she is pretty sure that she is on the nice list and maybe that is why I didn't get an email for her.
One more thing the weather her has been cold.  We have to bundle up every morning.  It's fun to be cold for awhile but I'm really for some perfect days of 70 degrees.
